C0008-VS Friction Coefficient Tester

This instrument is used to test the static and dynamic coefficient of friction between plastic films (sheets), paper and other sheet materials. The coefficient of friction (COF) refers to the ratio of the frictional force between two surfaces to the vertical force acting on one of the surfaces. It is related to the roughness of the surface, and has little influence on the size of the contact area. According to the nature of motion, it can be divided into dynamic friction coefficient and static friction coefficient. The coefficient of static friction is greater than the coefficient of dynamic friction.

The instrument includes a host, a movable test plate and a static friction slider. Because of its easy operation, accuracy and stability, the instrument provides a dedicated RS232 interface and connection for data export.

The C0008-VS friction coefficient tester can measure the relative static friction coefficient and the dynamic friction coefficient during the process of moving smoothly on the same test plane to another point through the designated position. This test is completed by the movement of the slider on the test board. After each test, the test head automatically returns to the starting position to facilitate the second operation. IDM products provide testing software that can accurately, conveniently and quickly store and edit data into reports.
